Rich purchased his Medellin apartment in October 2007 and then moved there full time in November 2007. He also maintains a home in Naples, FL. His background comes from the real estate, mortgage, securities, publishing, Internet and investment banking industries. His undergraduate degree is in Chemical Engineering Management from the University of Texas and he holds an MBA from the Ohio State University. He has lived in Florida for 14 years, Atlanta, GA for 11 years, Los Angeles for 8 years and is originally from Texas where he resided for 12 years.
Rich began traveling to Medellin Colombia in 2006 and quickly realized that Medellin may be one of the worlds best kept secrets primarily due to the mis-perceptions caused by the international press. John lived for 14 years in the US before returning to Colombia. In Medellin he attended Maria Cano University where he majored in international business. As First Americans first employee John also has been instrumental in forging valuable relationships with local realtors, developers and making important business contacts.
John has assumed the role of property manager for more than 65 property listings. This important service is very important as almost 50% of First American buyers want a reliable property manager to manage their properties when they are not in Medellin. John has raised the barrier for employment through his dedication, dependability, honesty and work ethic.

David spent 16 years in the United States in New York City and Miami before returning to Medellin to join his brother John in the property management department. David assists with apartment check-in and check-out, inventory control, rent collections, owner bill payments, photo shoots and assistance with new sales listings. He has been an invaluable addition to the First American Realty team.
Joe Greco is from the Seattle WA area and brings extensive experience in commercial real estate investments. His background is varied including countless home and condo renovations, apartment building ownership, condominium developments and property conversions. He also has experience with the development of retirement and manufactured home communities.
Previous to his career in real estate, Joe was part owner and founding member of several high tech startup companies. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
With a background as an investor (not as a realtor or salesman), he is always evaluating purchase and investment options from the perspective of getting the best value and creating equity after purchase. He believes that Medellin has changed dramatically in the last fifteen years, and can easily be argued as the most beautiful, modern, progressive, clean and organized city in all of Latin America. He believes that the dramatic difference between the world’s perception and the actual reality allows for exceptional investment opportunities.

Jeremy is from Denver, CO where he obtained his Bachelor degree in Environmental Design-Architecture with emphasis on green oriented design & building sustainability. He has a well-rounded and advantageous mix of background experiences to draw from ranging from years of hands on construction work, stage prop design and creation, to designing and acting as construction manager on medium size multi use projects.
After spending many years traveling and sailing in the South Pacific and South East Asia, Jeremy arrived to Medellin in May of 2009 where he was captivated by the lively and friendly spirit of the local Paisas. Ever since his focus has been on improving his Spanish and developing relationships and vetting local contractors for his work at First American.
In El Poblado he oversaw an office renovation and then managed the complete redesign of a three story mixed use apartment building (Poblado Suites) which was completed ahead of schedule. Jeremy is currently working on an 11 unit commercial/residential project that entails a concept change and an extensive redesign, a ten home sustainable active retirement community development in the hills above Copacabana and a penthouse remodel for the Medellin Capital Group. He just assumed the position as head of First American Realty Medellin (FARM) Remodeling Services which focuses on providing trusted cost effective remodeling/rehab services for FARM clients.

Cristhian is born and raised in Medellin and taught himself English. Prior to joining First American Realty he spent five years as a technical specialist for a company in the Monterrey electronics mall in El Poblado. He has been a great addition to the property management group as well as assisting in obtaining and preparing residential listings. He is fearless on his motorcycle, skateboard and on the soccer field. He brings those same energies to his work

Laura is originally from Medellín, but moved to New Jersey, USA and graduated from grammar and high school there. In 2009 she decided to move back to Medellin in search of a different life style and work experiences. Laura has worked for different companies, mostly American, gaining valuable experience in the financial field. She is currently attending college studying Human Resources. At First American Laura keeps the books for the different divisions, handles banking matters and prepares accounting statements for the rental apartment owners. She has been a great complement to the First American team.

Arlen was born in Cartagena but moved to Cali when she was two years of age. She returned to Cartagena to finish high school and studied Business Administration in college there at the Meyer Institute. She gained valuable experience there while working for three different real estate companies. Arlen recently moved to Medellin with her husband and has been a welcome addition to the First American team.

Carlos Agudelo is a local bi-lingual architect who was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island but raised in Medellin. He obtained his architectural degree from the Universidad San Buenaventura in Medellin in 2009. He has worked previously with two other architectural firms where he was involved in projects ranging from small commercial renewals to urban planning. He also has been a teacher at the University's architectural program for 2 ½ years.
Carlos enjoys movies, photography and arts in general along with books which he reads in both English and Spanish.
